I am doing half a marathon on 27th september and need some training, any suggestions?

I am doing half a marathon on 27th september and need some training, I can only currently run 1.5- 2 miles without stopping, what is the best way to train for it in 4 months?|||Ideally you should be able to run up to 12 miles fairly comfortably before you run the half marathon.

Build up gradually, and vary the distance of your training runs.

Try to build up to training 5 times a week, and have 1 long run, and the others can be shorter distances.

Increase your long run by half a mile to a mile each week, so that you reach your target of 12 miles 3 to 4 weeks before the race.

Your long run should be at an easy pace, so that you can carry out a conversation, if you can't talk, you're going too fast.

Some of your shorter runs should be at a faster speed, and try to include some hills in as many of your runs as you can.

Make sure you warm up before each run, and also make sure you are well hydrated, carry a drink with you on the longer runs, especially on hot days.

Try to get your total weekly mileage up to 25 to 30 miles, your shorter runs can be between 2 to 6 miles, but do this gradually over the next 3 months.

Make sure you have a good pair of running shoes, get them from a reputable running shop.

Make sure that you have done at least one long run in the kit you intend to use on the day, including socks if you wear them.

This is a brief outline of what you need to do, if you want any further advice, email me.

Hope this helps.|||If you can do 70 skips in a minute

10 chinups in aminute

10 pushups in a minute

you will be able to do anything.|||Try to reach a goal of 3 miles in one month. If you accomplish that, try 4 miles the next. Keep adding on a mile each month until the half marathon. Also, drink lots of water and time yourself. (:|||work out,if need call me at 575 308 6390 names john i will help in everthing that i know
